how to support the fight against breast cancer just without leaving the couch
Believe me when I say this, we are very very serious about treating people like a friend here at amika. And what do you do if a friend is in need? Even though it’s small acts of kindness. You HELP!
One of the causes that’s very close to our hearts is breast cancer awareness. According to the Breast Cancer Now Charity, “Many people will lose either some or all of their hair as a result of treatment for breast cancer. People who have chemotherapy will often experience hair loss.” We feel it with many cancer patients, and believe hair is an integral part of one’s identity and confidence. It causes tremendous anxiety + insecurity when lost.

At amika, we have specifically designed a limited edition tools set – Think Pink. It is inspired by pink power + breast cancer awareness. Pink is not only the color for breast cancer awareness, it’s also a life-affirming color that represents hope and the power of cancer patients and survivors. Through this dedicated tools set, we hope to encourage all amika friends to “think pink” – raise awareness, help sharing facts (early detection is the best protection!) and empower one and other through the magic of hair styling.
But, the fight doesn’t just stop here. It might just be a small step each and every one of us made, but together we can make a difference. That’s why we’ve summed up other NGOs and wonderful companies that are helping with this cause, and ways you can get involved without even leaving your house:
